Foreman defeated Frazier via 5th round TKO. After this win, Foreman defeated Charlie Polite in four rounds and Boone Kirkman in three. Lyle was on a one-fight win streak with 22 KO wins, and was the taller of the two by 1 cm but Foreman had a 6 cm reach advantage over Lyle. He dropped the WBA belt rather than face his mandatory title defense soon after, and following a single successful title defense against Axel Schulz, Foreman relinquished his IBF title as well on June 28, 1995. This round was ultimately named "Round of the Year" by The Ring magazine.
